(6). While the two "nursing sisters" or "staff nurses" engaged for private nursing are always to be available for this nursing when required, the Government are not to be debarred from employing them in the hospitals of the Colony when they are not required for such nursing.

(7). The scale of fees for private nursing when this is taken over by the Government to be the same as now charged by the Institution to non-subscribers, but the Government are not to be debarred from altering this scale should this be considered at any time advisable.

In the event of the Government for any reason discontinuing to supply the community with Nursing Sisters and the Hongkong Nursing Institution being re-established for that purpose the same sum will be placed by the Government in the hands of trustees appointed for the Institution as will have been received by the Government under conditions (1) and (3) above.

The Government further binds itself to provide a third nurse for private nursing when the demands for this are greater than can be satisfied by the present establishment of two nurses.
